　　众星云集的《欢乐镇疑案》，是今秋不可错过的一部剧集。
　　如果你正在看《夺命岛》（Harper's Island），就会明白这类剧集有个最大的毛病：情节比较凌乱。角色太杂（本剧多达50个），时间太短，不清不楚的剧情太多，这是它们的通病。好在本剧不是《夺命岛》那种「一集要死几个角色」的类型，而是《双峰》（Twin Peaks）那种「以小情节驱动大情节」的悬疑故事，可以细水长流。首集被安排成90分钟的特别节目，在正式拍摄时也可能作出更改。根据以往的经验，42分钟可能效果更好。
　　本剧发生在明尼苏达州一个叫「Haplin」的宁静小镇上。过去七年，这个小镇正如其外号「欢乐镇」一样，处处充满了欢声笑语，就连空气中也弥漫着面包店飘散的甜美味道。但是这一切即将改变。
　　七年前，一个绰号「恐怖魔术师」的变态绑架了七名儿童，并成功逃脱了Griffin Conroy警长的追捕，逍遥法外。如今，「恐怖魔术师」的标志「蓝门恶兆」（将受害人的房门涂成蓝色）再次出现，小镇上又丢失了一名儿童，还发生了一起惨不忍睹的谋杀案。恐慌开始在小镇居民中蔓延－－恶魔可能又回来了！
