　　1987年的某个夜晚，张皇失措的赛斯·汉普顿（Graham Skipper 饰）驱车来到好朋友马克·费舍（Josh Ethier 饰）的家，他语无伦次，声称不久前天上出现一道蓝光，将他们的另一个好朋友罗伯带走了。马克起初并不太相信赛斯的说词，谁知突然之间全城大停电，窗外亮起炫目的蓝光，并伴随着尖利刺耳的声响，混乱中马克仿佛被控制了一般，他推门走了出去，再也没有回来。在此之后，蓝光事件在派顿市引起不小的骚乱，而赛斯也成为罗伯和马克失踪案的嫌疑人受到指控。两年过后，马克的女友简·克莱文（Vanessa Leigh 饰）交到新男友，正准备展开新生活，而赛斯依然被当年的经历和噩梦所困扰。毫无征兆的一天，大停电再度发生，而消失已久的马克惊现丛林，但这绝不是赛斯熟悉的朋友……
　　本片根据发生在缅因州派顿市的真实事件改编。

　　大明洪武年间，丁武和蒋瑍是锦衣卫内一对亲如兄弟的小旗官，一个家有怀孕的老婆，困于茶米油盐；一个爱上了青楼女子，在平凡的职场中等一个上位的机会。两人奉命调查一桩连环杀人谜案，牵出一起重大贪腐案，紧要关头，线人被杀，线索屡屡中断，锦衣卫内藏有内鬼。丁武压力巨大，开始怀疑自己，也开始怀疑行踪诡秘的兄弟。

　　伊茱欧海拉亲眼目睹黑帮少主岛崎寻尼被杀，而年轻英俊的杀手在杀人时，竟然流着泪。原来在杀手这一行中，杀手杀了人之后，自己就将是下一个被杀的人。寻尼之父自日本赶来报仇，发现该杀手隶属一中国秘密组织「龙之子」。寻尼之父原欲以伊茱为饵，引蛇出洞，不料自己先被杀死，引来了三大帮派一片混乱，大家都想坐上龙头老大的宝座，但是，只有找到这个杀手并杀死他才有资格登上这个宝座。杀手终于衔命来杀伊茱了，但是这对「没有明天」的男女，却彼此打动并深深结合，而双双陷入绝境－－不仅日本黑道要他们的命，中国秘密组织更放不过他们。

　　When a party bus on its way to Burning Man filled with a bunch of sexy young adults breaks down in the desert and in the middle of a group of Satanic worshippers, all hell literally breaks loose. A massacre leaves seven survivors trapped on the bus, fighting for their lives while wondering if someone or someones are not what they seem.

　　泰利（斯蒂夫·古根伯格 Steve Guttenberg 饰）是一名年轻有为的建筑师，私底下，他一直和老板的妻子西维亚（伊莎贝尔·于佩尔 Isabelle Huppert 饰）有一腿。这一天，泰利约西维亚来自己家中约会，正在两人享尽鱼水之欢时，西维亚发现卧室的后窗对面，一名女子惨遭歹徒强暴。
　　因为害怕自己和泰利的奸情败露，西维亚不同意报警，可没过多久，西维亚便惨遭杀害。不仅如此，泰利还成为了这起事件的主要嫌疑人。为了替情人报仇，同时也为了替自己洗清冤屈，泰利找到了事件的受害者丹尼斯（伊丽莎白·麦戈文 Elizabeth McGovern 饰），两人决定联手，将真正的凶手捉拿归案。

　　影片中的故事发生在五十年代的洛杉矶，米基·洛克饰演的小号手奈特被带到沙漠，并且脑袋上被一只枪顶着。恰好一位土著“从天而降”解救了他，从此他踏入了一个不那么真实的世界。他遇见了梅根·福克斯饰演的莉莉，一个货真价实的天使，她的工作是在马戏团表演空中飞人。奈特疯狂的爱上了她，他试图劝服她相信真实的生活比活在别人的幻想中复杂得多……

　　爱情可以醇如佳酿，也可毒如砒霜。《毒药》要讲的就是三个离经叛道的荒诞故事。《英雄》中的英雄并非什么占士邦或铁金刚式打不死，而是一个乳臭未乾的黄毛小子。都说不可小覤新新人类的力量──年仅七岁的小主角枪杀无赖老豆，绝不手震。《可怖》向50年代经典恐怖科幻片《变蝇人魔》致敬。科学家成功研究出一个惊世实验，把人类性欲化作液体保存。三个短篇中最引起争议的，是描绘监狱另类春光的《凶毛》。一个终生囚犯不能自拔的迷恋囚友，自虐被虐共冶一炉，引人入「性」。粗犷暴烈的场面赤裸裸地冲击观众底线。三段人生，三种手法。《紫醉金迷》导演托特海恩斯就是凭本片夺得1991年辛丹士影展大奖，一鸣惊人。

　　罗伊（西德尼·波蒂埃 Sidney Poitier 饰）是一位FBI探员，20年前，他的搭档被一个名叫“水肺”的苏联间谍杀害了，罗伊一直想要为自己的搭档报仇，但始终没有找到合适的机会。如今，水肺早已变节，转而向苏联政府要挟勒索，为了证明自己的能耐，他接二连三的杀死了苏联派驻潜伏在美国的间谍，包括早已经完全融入美国社会，被称为“沉睡者”的前间谍们。
　　一天，罗伊遇见了一位名叫杰夫（瑞弗·菲尼克斯 River Phoenix 饰）的少年，在做背景调查的时候，他震惊的发现，杰夫的父母正是“沉睡者”。身为间谍的儿子，杰夫是否并不像表面看上去的那样单纯呢？与此同时，罗伊还要保护杰夫的父母不受“水肺”的毒手。

　　This early 70's giallo by Umberto Lenzi is certainly among the best in his filmography and also in the whole genre. Personally I think Lenzi's best films are the funny cartoon-turned-film Kriminal, the stylish giallo Seven Blood-Stained Orchids, the explosive Napoli violenta and this. In the eighties he did plenty of film trash in form of Eaten Alive, Hitcher in the Dark or Black Demons, all of which are ripping something off and/or very dull and slow moving. Knife of Ice came when the giallo boom was at its hottest and the result is convincing.
　　Technically the film is superb, containing great cinematography in the beginning when we learn about the main character's trauma towards trains. From this point on, Lenzi shows us his ability to benefit the widescreen and, for example, the bicycle ride near the forest is genuinely beautiful! This scene also shows Lenzi's ability to build suspense, very slowly but meaningfully. After all, there aren't so many murders in the whole film, only the suspense circulating around the murderer's identity.
　　One suspect is a devil worshipper which brings new aspects to the mystery. Since the final scene takes place in a church, one can wonder if Lenzi wanted to comment on something, maybe the hypocritical morale of church and superstition. The main character (Carrol Baker) is mute which demands a lot from her face and eyes. The actress works very well, giving us a believable performance circulating around the emotions of fear and mental pain. The other actors are good, too. The finally, however, may not give too positive a sight about female sex since they all are expressed rather negatively in the film, one way or another. Still this is easily among the most noteworthy in the genre, not as bloody as the Argento films, for example, but equally suspenseful and visually also interesting.
