第64届欧洲歌唱大赛由上届冠军以色列承办，具体举办地为以色列首都特拉维夫。本届大赛共有41个国家参赛，将于5月14、16日进行两场半决赛，18日进行总决赛。
6月17日，在第十届中国网络视听产业论坛上由bilibili（以下简称B站）承办的文化传承与创新分论坛上，来自多个不同领域的专家学者分享了自己对于传统文化创新与发展的真知灼见。当天，B站还为到场者准备了一个“惊喜”——B站出品的纪录片《历史那些事》正式发布。 这部集严谨纪录与脑洞大开为一体的纪录片将以轻松诙谐的口吻讲述正史记录的那些神奇的、不可思议的历史，计划于8月在B站正式上线。 在新环境下，如何让纪录片这一严肃的媒体形式触及年轻人的精神世界？《历史那些事》总监制金铁木表示：“重要的是选题，选题是基础。” 回顾20多年的创作道路，金铁木用《复活的军团》、《玄奘之路》、《圆明园》等纪录片作品，影响了几代人。面对拥有文化自信的Z世代年轻人，金铁木表示：“谁都年轻过，但是每一代年轻人有他们自己成长的土壤，要了解他们的土壤，去了解他们，去认识他们，像标本一样去解剖他们，解剖他们的精神世界，要非常平等的了解他们。” 在他看来，现在的年轻人是非常开放的，他们的知识储备，他们的眼光，他们对新的事物，对艺术创新接受的程度，很有可能远超想象。所以，很多外在形式并不能解决最关键的问题。“用年轻人喜欢的方式去讲故事”是主创人员创作时的最大共识。
西格妮·韦弗将担任国家地理4集纪录剧集《鲸鱼的秘密》(Secrets of the Whales，暂译)旁白。詹姆斯·卡梅隆担任该剧执行制作人。该剧将记录鲸鱼的生活方式，及它们在不断变化的海洋中所面临的挑战。该剧将于2021年4月22日地球日播出。
