　　House of Lies is an American comedy-drama television series created by Matthew Carnahan.[1] The show, which premiered on Showtime on January 8, 2012, is based on the book, House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time, written by Martin Kihn, a former consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. It follows a group of management consultants who stop at nothing to get business deals done.

　　In the series opener we meet Nancy Botwin, a recently widowed suburban soccer mom who's dealing pot to make ends meet Nancy flips out when she discovers Josh, one of her competitors, is dealing to 10 year-olds at her youngest son's school, but she soon discovers a bigger skeleton in Josh's closet Nancy is stunned when Quinn, her rival Celia's 15 year old daughter, asks her permission to have sex with her 15 year old son, Silas Celia thinks her Nanny-Cam is the perfect solution to keep the kids celibate, but she ends up seeing much more than she bargained for.

 John is a repressed man who is shocked to find himself in middle age, secretly raging at his life as a stay-at-home dad.When his failure to intervene in a violent confrontation in a playground brings his identity crisis to a head, John ups and moves his family to the rural idyll of Coldwater, as far away from London as possible.Upon arrival, John is quickly befriended by next-door neighbour Tommy, a charming, confident man, devoted husband to the local vicar Rebecca. He is a man of faith, a pillar of the community and self-appointed leader of the village’s all-male book group.John is both impressed and slightly fascinated by Tommy. His wife Fiona despises him. As a successful former chef hoping to launch a new venture in Coldwater, Fiona sees the move as an opportunity to leave the past behind them. To not only re-build their lives as a family but re-ignite the long-lost spark in their fading marriage. When her husband’s relationship with their enigmatic new neighbour becomes increasingly intense, Fiona’s suspicions are aroused. She is unconvinced Tommy is all he seems to be.But John remains blissfully unaware that Tommy is harbouring horrifying secrets, and it’s only after a series of unsettling incidents start to occur that John begins to wonder who the real Tommy actually is.And when John’s long-repressed rage comes to a head with disastrous results, he soon finds himself unexpectedly indebted to his new friend.This is the story of a normal man, in a normal marriage, who finds himself in a far from normal situation. 　　《拉克尼亚号的沉没》是BBC 2台推出的电视电影，由Uwe Janson执导，Alan Bleasdale编剧。该剧标志着《Boys From The Blackstuff》、《GBH》、《Jake’s Progress》、《雾都孤儿》编剧Bleasdale十年后重归电视荧屏。该剧受二战真实故事启发，是一部探讨人性的影片。

　　There are no medical storylines the action is produced by a series of soap opera-style twists and turns in the personal lives of the characters. They proceed through a series of often absurd sketch-like scenes, or by sequences where the film is slowed down or sped up, often emphasising the body language of the characters.

　　ABC喜剧《格尔伯格一家 The Goldbergs》曾经在16年开发衍生剧但没获预订，而电视网在美国时间1月24日放出拍好的试映集后（S05E00 「1990 Something」那集），倒是因为反应良好令ABC决定改变主意预订该衍生剧，现定于19年1月9日首播，由《格尔伯格一家》前导。
　　暂定13集的《校园时代 Schooled》定于90年代，主角包括Glascott校长﹑Mellor教练及Lainey Lewis（Tim Meadows﹑Bryan Callen及AJ Michalka饰演），他们虽然有怪癖﹑个人生活有点疯狂，但仍然是学生们心目中的英雄。Brett Dier饰演C.B.，此角色是改编自母剧主创Adam F. Goldberg的老师兼朋友，C.B.是名年轻﹑活跃的老师，在课堂上以滑稽的方式与学生互动，他亦是菜鸟老师Lainey Lewis的朋友/对手。
　　衍生剧原构念是复制《格尔伯格一家》的家庭喜剧模式，后来改为注重在校园喜剧这方向，新增了母剧的Lainey Lewis一角。
