　　Discovery探索频道出品的《智慧中国》系列纪录片，是继《运行中国》之后的第二部中国话题纪录片。分别以“智慧前行Smart Move”、“智慧生活Smart Life”、“智慧星球Smart Planet”为主题，探讨了中国日新月异的创新科技，如何以破纪录的速度改变人们的生活，如何让那些古老的智慧焕发新生。
　　《智慧中国》将带观众踏上一段充满未来色彩的旅程，体验面向未来的前沿创新。在诸多世界级顶尖智囊的助力下，这些发明创造正让中国变成一个更加清洁、环保、“智慧”的国家。我们将跟随来自纽约的技术专家乔希•克莱因一起走遍中国，拜访这些创新者，并且了解这些令人赞叹的创新背后的技术与思维。
　　第一集 智慧前行
　　在人口迅猛增长的中国，司机人数就超过3亿，跟10年前相比，这个数字增长了6倍。毋庸置疑，中国的交通基础设施面临巨大压力。乔希·克莱恩将走访数千公里去拜访中国的顶级智囊，了解他们独特的创新之处，并在专家组的协助下，发现中国的智慧之路。交通的未来就在这里，所有这些都来自一个正在崛起的“创新梦工厂”——中国。
　　第二集 智慧生活

　　每一天有超过十万架航班在全球飞行，运送超过百万旅客和货物，构成巨大的空中之城。这一切都需要一个巨大又复杂的全球物流网络的支撑。主持人 Dallas Campbell和Hannah Fry将走访世界上最大、最繁忙、最寒冷和最遥远的机场，探寻确保空中航运及物流正常运行的秘密。

　　到2050年，全球将有七成的人居住在都市，城市必须供养70亿人口。如果用传统的土壤耕作，还需要增加一整个巴西的耕作面积，才有可能养得活这么多的人，但是高楼林立的城市里，哪里生得出这么多土地呢？如果城市能够盖出摩天大楼，有可能盖起摩天农场吗？为了解决城市粮食供应的问题，垂直农场应运而生。
　　城市垂直农场把水平的农场，改造成种满植物的摩天大楼，用营养液代替土壤，用LED灯取代阳光，这些彷佛科幻小说的情节，在各领域专家的努力下，正一步步成真。垂直农法在密闭的空间种植农作物，压缩了空间，让效益极大化，除了节约土地，也节约用水量，用水仅是传统土壤种植的十分之一。可以楼上种菜，楼下卖菜的垂直农场，也大大缩短了食物里程，减少食物长途运送的资源浪费。
　　垂直农场发想者的本意，是解决全人类的问题，然而这种耕作方法现阶段仍有个无法克服的致命瓶颈，就是生产成本太高，目前只能为少数阶级服务，奢侈品是无法养活全世界的。全球人口最多的城市，有四分之三分布在亚洲，这些亚洲的大都市，无不全力支持垂直农场的发展，因为比起其它地方，他们分秒必争。

　　The programme follows Matthew Bell - Tatler’s writer and the newest addition to the team - over his first few months at the magazine. We’ll see him trying to find his feet and go from middle class outsider to privileged insider.
　　We’ll see the team putting together an issue, follow them on shoots and key social events to meet the people they feature - from Lord Glasgow in his 13th Century castle in Scotland, to Nigerian Millionaire Kola Karim, who has no idea how many cars he owns.

　　In this three-part series for BBC One, Sue will explore the lives of the people living close the river and the challenges facing India as it transforms into one the world's great economic powers. The Ganges is the story of modern India in one spectacular river.
　　Sue Perkins follows her journeys up the Mekong and through Kolkata with an epic travel series down the length of the Ganges, which is worshipped by Hindus as a living Goddess. Sue will travel from the sacred source of the river, high in the Himalayas, through the industrial and agricultural heartlands of the Gangetic Plain and the ancient city of Varanasi, to the vast delta on the Bay of Bengal.
　　She will join pilgrims seeking to wash clean the sins of alifetime at the Ganges' source work alongside fishermen and farmers in the Sunderbarns, who share their forests with man-eating tigers and join some of the thousands of young women leaving rural villages and moving to the cities to find work and freedom.
　　Sue says: 「I've travelled the length of the Ganges, from the oxygen-starved peaks of the Himalayas to the vast delta in West Bengal, meeting a huge array of characters on the way. Expect cows on bridges, India's Most Energetic Monk, and me, in a dress. I can't wait for you to see it.」

　　Tokio ist seit mehr als 60 Jahren die größte Stadt der Welt. Sie ist Zentrum eines Ballungsraums von über 36 Millionen Einwohnern, noch immer auf Expansionskurs. Japans Hauptstadt gilt vielen als Stadt der Zukunft. Dabei war Tokio noch vor 150 Jahren Edo - eine Stadt aus einfachen Holzbauten mit einer Million Einwohnern. Die Edo-Zeit endete im späten 19. Jahrhundert. Im Laufe des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde Tokio zweimal zerstört, zuerst durch ein großes Erdbeben, dann während des Zweiten Weltkriegs durch US-Bomben. Jedes Mal musste Tokio von Grund auf neu aufgebaut werden. Ein Film über das wechselvolle Schicksal der Stadt.
